A spoon full of sugar # 71 - Christmas

This weeks challenge at A spoon full of sugar is to make a christmas card, thats pretty much the type of cards I'm making these days :)
I got some time last night to do some crafting, most of the time I spent tidying up the mess in my room, but I also got a card done :)

The supercute image is Henry from Whiff of Joy, colored with distress ink refills.

I've used paper from Ladybug & friends, a paperheart, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and on the thick paper behind the image I've put on some crackle paint.

Close up of the roses, the branch is punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. There is also som silver glitter glue on the roses.

ASFS #68 - GDT

Jeg ble sååå glad og overrasket og ikke minst beæret da Camilla spurde om jeg ville være gjestedesigner hos A spoon full of sugar denne uken, selv om jeg har for tiden en utrolig hektisk hverdag så var jo det noe jeg verken ville eller kunne takke nei til :)

I was so excited when Camilla asked me to be guest designer at A spoon full of sugar this week, and even though my life is so busy at the moment I couldn't and wouldn't say no to this :)
This week they have a great sketch for you to follow.

I've made a card with a Penny Black stamp that I've fallen totally for - so cute ;) and it's colored with distress ink refills. Papers are from Maja Design and MME, sentiment is from Norsk Stempelglede and the translations is something like "Warm congratulations to you"

I've also been sewing everywhere around the card, I don't think I make cards anymore that I don't sew on - that's half the fun :)

A spoon full of sugar #63 - Floral fantasy

I managed to get this card finnished tonight - one of the many projects thats been on hold because of my busy schedule the last week. I figured it maybe could be entered into A spoon full of sugar this week where the theme is "floral fantasy".

I've finally found out how my sewing machine really works too today ;) so the sewing looks so much better than on my previous cards... I don't have that much experience with these machines :)

I've used this new Sarah Kay stamp, not that different from my favorite Sarah Kay - but still I had to have it :)
It's colored with distress ink refills which seems to be my favorite these days!!


The papers are from My minds eye, and the sentiment is printed out from my computer and the translation is just "happy birthday".


Other things on the card is flower, and roses in different sizes :)

A spoon full of sugar # 62

I just loved the sketch at A spoon full of sugar this week so when I got some time this evening I threw myself at it :). I've got quite a few images that I've alredy colored so then all there is to do is to match the colored image with papers - and I struggle all the time. I think that is the most difficult part of the cardmaking.

But I found some papers today too - so here's my card - hope you like it :)


I've used this lovely boy from Whiff of Joy. Colored him with distress ink refills. Papers are K&Company and My minds eye.


I got some new lovely flowers the other day - the big blue one in the middle - thought it looked really nice.


I've used som glitterglue on the flowers to get it to sparkle a bit :)


The card is also sprayed with some glimmer mist, but it doesn't show in the picture.

A spoon full of sugar # 60

There is a lovely sketch over at A spoon full of sugar this week, made by Debbie. I just had to try it, and used this lovely image from hÄnglar & stÄnglar and colored it with distress ink refills.

I found it quite difficult to find papers to match the colors I had used to paint the hÄnglar girl, but it looks alright I think. Not my usual kind of colors, but fun to try something different.


Close up of some flowers, I did some shopping at WildOrchidCrafts for a while ago, just love those roses and flowers :)

The inside is made after the same sketch, used a sentiment stamp from Stempelglede to the left, and on the other side there is space to write something.


And finally the back, also made after the sketch with my personal stamp.

He, he and a close up of the ribbon which I've tied - I hate doing this because I always turns out like something my 3 year old would have done - but this time I followed this great tutorial I found on youtube. You can see it here - it's also shows how to tie a bow - but small steps for me I think... LOL

Dagen såg så lovende ut - med blå himmel og sol - faktisk 11 grader - rene vårstemningen. Ut på tur tenkte jeg - så begynte det å regne før jeg rakk å bli klar til turen. Vel da ble det litt husarbeid (tenk det da :-)) og småen sov fremdeles da jeg var ferdig med det, så da fikk jeg jammen laget et kort til. Siden det passer til utfordringen hos A spoon full of sugar denne uken så kan jeg jo delta der :-).

A spoon full of sugar challenge 35

Denne ukens utfordring hos A spoon full of sugar er å lage noe med temaet baby. Jeg er i babykort humør for tiden da det er flere som både skal ha baby snart eller som allerede har fått. Har brukt stempel fra Whiff of Joy, fargelagt med promaker tusjer og MCP teknikken. Blomstene er fra Papirloftet, rosene fra Wild Orhcid Crafts, charms'en fra Unik hobby, mønsterpapir fra bl.a Maja Design. Teksten "En liten solstråle..." er fra Aud Design, det andre er printet ut fra pc'en.


This week at the challenge blog "A spoon full of sugar" the theme is baby. Perfect theme since I had to make a baby card anyway. A friend of mine had a little baby boy in november and this is the card she will get when I go to visit next month.
I've used image from Whiff of Joy, and colored it with Promakers and MCP technique.
The sentiment is from Aud Design, and translates to "A little sunshine has arrived into the world, congratulations". The ticket is printed out from PC, and reads "It is a boy".

I've made a new years card to the challenge at A spoon full of sugar this week. I thougth I'd try somethting different with the card this time, and used a template formed like a champagne bottle.

The image is from Whiff of Joy, Herb with teacup, colored with distress ink refils. The swirls on the ends are from Ladybug & friends. Flower is from Prima, pearls from KaiserCraft and the charm is from Unik Hobby.
